Artist’s statement:

Painting gives me an opportunity to play with color and form and light and shadow; challenging and exhilarating. It gives me permission to stay in one spot for several hours taking in the magic of a desert wash, a cloud bank or a stretch of beach. The time I spend working on a painting is some of the most fulfilling and satisfying in my life and…. I can hold my efforts in my hands when I’m finished. I feel so lucky to have the time and enthusiasm for putting paint on canvas!
